The beach is famous for its street performers, roller dancers and of course girls. No wonder it's called the World largest freak show. Too bad there was not much action and street entertainment this time of year as the weather was relatively cold (some 20°C). During 1989-2001 the famous TV serie Baywatch was shot in Venice Beach - for some reason Pamela Anderson or Erika Eleniak weren't running on the beach in bikinis that day... |

There are hundreds of shops line the boardwalk selling everything from clothing and music to tourist junk. We did some shopping and of course I had to try what's Pacific Ocean is like with a toe. The water however seemed polluted and not something I would like to swim in.
